Crawling back to the starting line

Another year has come and gone. Here we are, right smack dab in the last week of February. So how did 2010 turn out? Not at all how I expected, that's for sure. Here's the quick and dirty... Trained for Mooseman like a good little triathlete. In April EV and I went to Atlanta for a great friend's wedding and I dutifully found a race to run. Did too much in San Francisco: too much wine, too much food, too much activity, and not enough sleep. The weekend itself was awesome - cycling through wine country, visiting with family and friends, riding over the Golden Gate Bridge - all great. The final event of our weekend was the 99th running of the Bay to Breakers. I ran it to personal perfection - exactly 10 minute miles for the 12 K run, half uphill and half downhill. Felt so good that we decided to join a friend on her trail jog back to the start (another 6.5 miles). Big mistake. I hit my wall.
